A Church That Makes Jesus Smile
What kind of church makes Jesus smile? Many people measure a church by its size, music, programs, or popularity. While those things may have value, the Bible points to something much deeper. Jesus is pleased when His people love Him, love one another, and live in obedience to His Word. A church that makes Jesus smile is not defined by perfection but by faithful hearts that seek to honor Him every day.
One of the greatest ways we can make Jesus smile is by being united as His body. The church is more than a building or a denomination—it is a community of believers working together to share the love of Christ. Christians were never meant to walk through life alone. God designed us to encourage one another, pray together, worship together, and grow together. When believers neglect fellowship, they miss out on the strength and support that God intended for His people. Unity reflects the heart of Christ and shows the world that His love is real.
Loving others is another characteristic of a church that pleases Jesus. Love is more than kind words; it is demonstrated through actions. Sometimes it means helping someone in need, welcoming a visitor, listening to a hurting friend, or serving without expecting recognition. As a church and as individuals, may our greatest desire be to live each day in a way that brings a smile to the face of our Savior.
